Traditional process requires a significant temperature drop of the black titanium liquor from 50-60 degrees Celsius to 18-20 degrees. The reliance on steam stems from the high negative pressures that needs to be achieved to create this drop in temperature, this is something that is very difficult to achieve using only vacuum pump units.
PengYue Science and Technology, separated the cooling process into two stages, using evaporative crystallisation followed by cooling crystallisation allowing for steady decrease of temperature. Through this methodology we have successfully achieved a continuous crystallisation process that allows for constant feed in and feed out of materials.
First stage flash evaporation crystallisation, removes the need for steam, but still able to increase titanium liquor concentration, and overall titanium levels. Eliminates intermittent production and reliance on manual labour.
Removing steam can help to significantly reduce production costs, a typical 50,000 ton TiO2 plant, after removing the need for steam, can reduce cost by around 10million RMB per annum.
Second Stage, Continuous flow cooling crystallisation, as with traditional cooling crystallisation methods large crystals are also produced with the added benefits of more uniformed crystals and significantly reducing the amount of scaling. Overall production is continuous, minimal cleaning is required, and with our patented technology we can achieve isolated partial cleaning of our heat transfer equipment, eliminating the need to pause production whenever cleaning is required.
Continuous operation and never stop can achieve production while cleaning
Traditional processes required manual loading and emptying of material feed, with continuous crystallisation, over 100K / year worth of production can be manned by two individuals.
replacing the space used by traditional crystallisation equipment with our equipment can increase production by 50%.
the system can monitor flow rate and overall performance.
