Innovative breakthrough of key process and equipments
This project’s main goal was optimisation and includes; re concentration, crystallisation, separation formation as well as design of control systems, manufacturing, construction and test run supervision. Main goal of the project was to achieve, continuous operation and improve the quality of the end product.
New equipment detailed breakdown
The new technique uses low temperature steam (60 degrees celsius) to heat up the Sodium cyanide solution, this prevents the decomposition of sodium cyanide at higher temperatures. Forced Circulation and Draft Baffle and Tube crystallizers were combined to create a crystallization process that produced more uniformed and larger crystals.
Overall the optimised system successfully achieved, continuous operation, improved product quality as well as reduction in energy consumption and waste production.
