Design Optimization 

This project focuses on design optimisation, streamlining existing designs to achieve significant reduction in power consumption, whilst also optimising the existing process.


Design Comparison 

Design Institute Design; 1200㎡ condenser (heat exchange area 304L), two recirculation water pumps operating at 132 kw each (total power consumption 264 kw) The design could process 8 t/h of steam, condensing to 40℃.

Optimised design; two water recirculation pumps operating at 15 kw each (total power consumption 30 kw) This design could process 8 t/h of steam, condensing to 35℃.


Overall the streamlined design not only reduced power consumption by 88.6%,but was also able to condense to a temperature 5 degrees lower than the original designs.
